  • Understand how P-glycoprotein acts as a molecular bouncer, causing treatment resistance by pumping chemotherapy out of cancer cells before it can work.

  • Discover how a repurposed medicine acts as a sensitizing agent, inhibiting the efflux pump to keep treatment inside the cells, potentially increasing sensitivity by up to 60-fold.

  • Learn how to use the language of the lab to talk to your oncologist about drug retention and adjunct therapies with total confidence.

Hello Everyone!

I am so excited to be in your inbox today. We are all here because we’ve been given a second chance at life, or we’re fighting for one, and I seriously do not take a single second of that for granted.

When I was going through my own battles, especially during chemotherapy, I was so confused and, to be totally candid, I felt a deep sense of despair and trauma.

I believe we have to be brave and advocate for ourselves, exploring every option that allows us to take an active role in our long-term health. We need to be rockstars when it comes to our own recovery.

Today, I want to talk about a monumental strategy for anyone currently in the trenches of treatment or worried about the future. Let’s talk about the Efflux Pump Strategy.

Ivermectin is one of the most successful medicines in history

Ivermectin isn't just another supplement—its discovery actually won the Nobel Prize. It’s widely considered the "best in class" for parasitic treatment worldwide.

Simple, effective, and professional-grade. Just the way we like it.

The Science

It is one of the most heartbreaking things a patient can hear, "The treatment isn't working anymore."

In the medical world, they call this multi-drug resistance, or MDR, and it’s actually responsible for more than 90% of deaths in patients undergoing chemotherapy.

But here’s the explanation on why that happens. Your cancer cells are smart. They want to survive, so they develop a defense mechanism called P-glycoprotein (MDR1).

Think of this protein like a molecular bouncer or an efflux pump. Its only job is to stand at the door of the cancer cell and literally kick the chemotherapy drugs out before they can ever do their job.

When these bouncers are working overtime, you can put all the intensive treatments in the world into your body, but they won’t stay inside the cells. This is where so many of us feel stuck, we’re doing the hard work of traditional treatment, but the crap is winning because the cells have locked us out.

The Ivermectin Strategy

What if we could just lock the bouncer in a closet? That’s exactly what recent pharmacology reviews are showing us about an award winning medicine, Ivermectin.

While it’s famous as an anti-parasitic, we are looking at it as a potent sensitizing agent. Research has found that Ivermectin can actually inhibit that P-glycoprotein bouncer.

It essentially locks the door from the inside, stopping the efflux pump from kicking the chemo out.

The results in the lab have been absolutely mind-blowing. In a landmark study at Strasbourg University, researchers found that when they used Ivermectin alongside standard chemotherapy, multidrug-resistant leukemia cells became 60-fold more sensitive to the treatment.

It has also been shown to be 4-fold more potent at reversing this resistance than other common inhibitors like cyclosporin A.

By taking this approach, we aren't replacing traditional treatment, we’re making it work better. We’re ensuring that the medicine our oncologists are prescribing actually stays in the cell long enough to trigger apoptosis, which is just a fancy way of saying cell death.

A Multi-Targeted Approach to Healing With Fierce Health

I love the idea of a strategy that attacks from all angles. Ivermectin fits into this beautifully because it doesn't just block the bouncer.

Beyond the pump, it has been shown to:

  • Starve the tumor: It inhibits Mitochondrial Complex I, depriving cancer cells of the energy (ATP) they need to grow and power their defense pumps.

  • Trigger Self-Digestion: It can force cancer cells into a state called nonprotective autophagy, where they basically start consuming themselves beyond repair.

  • Target the Roots: It has shown an ability to disrupt the stemness of cancer stem cells by downregulating genes like NANOG and SOX2, which are often the culprits behind recurrence.

If you are looking for a trusted source, I recommend looking into the Fierce Health Ivermectin treatment. They offer a prescription-only, high-purity protocol. It’s designed as a systemic cleanse to help clear your internal environment and sensitize your cells.

You can check it out here: Fierce Health Ivermectin.

The best part? It’s generally well-tolerated, with very low toxicity in humans, even for those undergoing concurrent chemotherapy. Just remember it is best taken in the morning on an empty stomach for maximum absorption.

How to Talk to Your Oncologist

I know it can be so intimidating to bring up innovative or repurposed options to your lead oncologist. You don’t want to be judged, and you don’t want to feel like you’re doing something behind their back.

My advice? Use the language of the lab. Position Ivermectin as a sensitizing agent or adjunct therapy designed to enhance the efficacy of the standard of care.

Tell them you are concerned about P-glycoprotein (ABCB1) acting as an efflux pump and that you want to discuss strategies to increase drug retention.

Most doctors want what’s best for you, but they are often stuck in a cookie-cutter process. When you show up as an educated advocate, you change the dynamic.

If you need help figuring out exactly how to have that conversation, I highly recommend you book a free consultation with the team at Fierce Health. They can help you understand the mechanism so you can walk into your next appointment with total confidence.

Remember, Crew, there is no such thing as perfect. If all you can do today is swap out one processed snack for real food, or spend five minutes in prayer to find that still small voice, that is a monumental win.

We are removing the toxins, nourishing our souls, and using every tool in the toolbox to stay here and help others.

Keep going. Your body has a beautiful, internal system that wants to heal when you give it what it needs.
