One of the marvelous things about community is that it enables us to welcome and help people in a way we couldn't as individuals.

Follow one member's powerful journey from a dehumanizing diagnosis to rejecting the "conveyor belt" of standard care to forge his own path.
Discover how community support and listening to his own body's wisdom led him to a state of thriving that his doctors couldn't explain.

Hey Crew!
I want you to think about something for a second.
For those of us on this path, there’s always a moment. The moment the world just stops. The moment you hear a voice on the phone delivering news, and the entire world you knew before that second vanishes forever.
I was talking with one of our incredible crew members, Mark, the other day, and he shared his moment with me. It’s a story I think so many of you will recognize in your own bones. He described the doctor on the other end of the line, a man who didn’t even look him in the eye during their one brief meeting, reading a script.
When the verdict was delivered, there wasn’t a pause, no space for a human heart to process. Just a click. The call was over.
In the days that followed, he was handed a folder. A plan. He was placed on what he called the “conveyor belt.” I hear that so often from you all. It’s that chilling feeling that your body is no longer your own. It’s become their property, a case file, a set of data points on a chart. You’re not a person anymore, you’re a protocol.
But then, something else happened. A voice inside him, a gut feeling he couldn’t shake, told him this path wasn’t his. His wife was scared, we all know that fear, from our loved ones who just want us to be safe.
But that inner voice was stronger. He took that folder, that pre-written script for his life, and he threw it in the trash.
That single act was his declaration of sovereignty. He chose to listen to that deep, internal compass, what I always call the body’s wisdom talking. It’s the most powerful voice we have, but it’s so often the one we’re taught to ignore. Mark chose to listen.
Mark’s story reminds us of a profound truth, the most powerful medicine is connection. That feeling of being alone in your decision, of being the “crazy one,” is the hardest part of the journey. The 3 a.m. lifeline he talked about finding in our community? It’s why we created Cancer Crew +
It is our dedicated space to make sure that lifeline is always within reach. It’s where you can connect more deeply with the people who just get it. The ones who are walking their own path to power, sharing the wisdom that truly heals.
If you’re looking for your people, for that deeper connection that makes this journey not just bearable, but beautiful, I invite you to learn more.
Mark’s journey after that decision wasn’t easy. He dove into the research, spending late nights in forums and rabbit holes, searching for a different way.
He told me the most powerful moment was when he finally found others who had made the same choice he had. “Suddenly,” he said, “I wasn’t the crazy one.”
Can you feel the power in that? That is the moment the fear starts to fade and the power rushes in. It’s the moment you find your people.
Today, Mark isn’t just surviving, he’s thriving. Yes! Thriving. Living. Not just existing between appointments. He described his new life to me, one built around a complete holistic life overhaul. He’s transformed his diet, he meditates, and most importantly, he actively seeks out and creates joy in his life.
He told me that finding this community was his true lifeline, the place he could turn to at any time and know someone would be there.
He has taken back the power over his own body and his own life. He is the creator of his own health. His story is a powerful testament to the fact that when we reject the conveyor belt and listen to our own wisdom, we don't just find a new path—we find ourselves.
