It’s been a little while since I got back from my week at Buff Medical Resort, and I’m still buzzing from my time there. It was nothing short of a spiritual experience.

For those of you who were able to join our recent community call with the resort’s visionary medical director, Dr. Claas Hohmann, you know exactly what I’m talking about. For those who couldn't make it, I have to share what we learned.

Many of you, including myself, have spent our cancer journey frustrated and worn down by a medical system that makes you feel crazy for wanting to trust your own body.

On our call, Dr. Hohmann explained the philosophy that makes Buff so different. He talked about how modern medicine focuses on lengthening our lifespan, but often at the cost of our "healthspan," leaving us with years of sickness.

One of the most profound things about my stay was experiencing their "treat, teach, and care" philosophy firsthand. They don’t want to create dependency. But, instead, it’s designed to empower you, to teach you to become the "captain of your own ship," as Dr. Hohmann says.

This really hit home for me when I underwent a treatment called Apheresis.
